Friends of Capisic Pond Park Group Formed

We have officially stepped up support for our wonderful park by forming a group, The Friends of Capisic Pond Park. The group consists of five board members; Donna Williams (Secretary and Treasurer), Andy Graham (President), Mike Kramer, Matt Flynn and Jeff Scher. One of the purposes of our group is to provide an official entity that the City of Portland can use to communicate with on matters related to the Park. Our recent experience with the construction of the CSO project in the park provided us
with inspiration and a renewed desire to have a citizen group looking after the best interests of the park and to provide a community voice in support of the Park.

Capisic Pond Park Blog Launch

With all of the attention that the park has been receiving in regard to the CSO project one of the struggles seems to have been organizing the local community to quickly get on board and up to speed on the Park Project. Email has played a key role in providing information for us all to digest and act upon. Until now there has not been a central and structured location for members of the Portland community to tune into and share what knowledge they possess or want to learn about in regard to the Park. As an experiment I decided to start this blog with the hopes that it could prove to be a resource for all of us that seem to have at least one thing in common which is a fondness for Capisic Pond Park. This is a community blog and I encourage people to use it and to be respectful of others in our community. Please share fun things as well as those issues which are of a serious nature. All the best.
